Mampi-Folka formed from illustrous young malagasy returned for its 2nd edition on June 23 2007 in York, Pennsylvania. This round included some american folks performing american grass-roots music, added flavor to the event. On stage outside the pavilion till day break, a sentimental highlight of the 70's, 80's and 90's malagasy country music - Mahaleo, Lolo sy ny Tariny, Tsiakoraka & others - revealed the importance and impact of folksongs on malagasy society. Traditional malagasy food and drinks were served, topics on the malagasy cultural music were heard. Thanks to the group and Isidore Ralaingita aka Rapinda for passing down the malagasy traditional culture from generation to generation.
