A native from Australia who became one of the greatest actor of his generation among Hollywood walk of fame wannabe passed away on Tuesday Jan.22, 2008 at his SoHo apartment on Broome Street after accidentally absorbing an inconsider-
able amount of insomnia and anxiety treating pills.
His death reminded us how unique, magnificient, gifted and brillant Heath was. His genius talent allowed him to nail each and every roles he was in, like his portrayal of Del Mar - the gay cowboy - in Brokeback Mountain most certainly an incoventionnal and risky role for his career but he delivered it so beautifully that the movie had become the best film of the year 2005. It was also on that set that he met Michelle Williams, the mother of his little girl Matilda Rose, his legacy, his greatest achievement as he extoled.
From his break out role in 1999 in "10 Things I hate about you" to his latest role as the Joker in the Batman installment series "The Dark Knight" to open in July, Heath remained that young humble men from Perth, Australia who despised the spotlight but ruled for a private life way far from Hollywood Hill to Boerum Hill in Brooklyn, New York.
On Friday Jan.25, 2008 Heath's body left the Frank E.Campbell Funeral Home on Madison Avenue en route to LaGuardia Airport and flown to Los Angeles for a private memorial service at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday Jan.26, 2008 before returning to his hometown of Perth, Australia for his burial at Karrakatta Cemetery on Feb.9, 2008.
His extraordinary presence, his seductive voice will be missed.
