Sobika.com New Year's Eve party (Reveillon) was a blast, a big success, 2000 attended the event in Nanterre, Paris. How do you maintain your stardom after years on the market?
Solely present on the internet, we launched a new media style, we just toned in our edito, exclusive interviews, coverages differently sometimes with a good sense of humour which contributed to Sobika.com recognition. Sobika.com was nominated among the 10 best African sites by RFI in 2004. L'Institut Panos recently integrated Sobika.com in the directory of "Medias de la diversite en France." It's a huge satisfaction to see that in representing Madagascar at its best Sobika.com has become an household name.
What are your expectations in 2008?
We would like to expand our internautes audience in Madagascar. A recent partnership action has been made with MBS and more partnerships are to follow also we would like to enhance the value of our brand image towards malagasy entrepreuneurs so companies and firms can appeal the diaspora to banking, real estate, freight, tourism and even TV via satellite on Sobika.com plateform. An acquisition of few foreign sites is in our interest to expand our "european" goal without discarding Tooristv.com - launched Sept.2007 - an YouTube set alike dealing only with tourism.
Is the diaspora a potential to firms en place in Madagascar?
The diaspora with its high income is barely exploited. They are the potential clients to different grounds like health insurances, emergency found, school fees, administrative inquiries, real estate investment... which can be regulated directly via internet, users in Madagascar and their counterpart shouldn't limit their access to e-mails and chat but should explore further business investment and development as seen here daily in Europe, America and in emergent countries such Magreb and Asia number one foreign currencies income investors via internet. Internet today allows each and everyone to deal directly with their interests, their countries and their expatriates.

Outsourcing sectors and ViOP exploitation should attract more investors as new web services will come up with diverse openings, public service and ventures will become more efficient. Optic fiber will definitively facilitate the access to the net to all. Madagascar success will then depend on the government support, strong infrastructures and development of malagasy online banking system.
The future of malagasy e-commerce
E-commerce works if you have these 3 components: rare product, attractive price and impeccable delivery. On the International level, malagasy e-commerce has lots of promesses with its high demands despite its few offers, it's on the domestic market that malagasy e-commerce will find its ground by responding rapidly to its local needs. Again e-commerce success will depend on the payment system and an impeccable logistics management.
