The Oscar-winning film director, Anthony Minghella, has died Tuesday March 18, 2008 at Charing Cross Hospital in London after suffering a brain haemorrhage from a routine operation on his neck. His big international success came with "The English Patient" ( 9 oscars including Best Film and Best Director in 1996). He was 54.
I saw Minghella at Barolo Ristorante located on West Broadway in
2003 and we talked for few minutes. He was happy and surprised to meet someone from Madagascar. It was a pleasure, Maestro. Addio!

Il Oscar-winning regista Anthony Minghella e deceduto martedi Marzo 18, 2008 a Charing Cross Hospital in Londra dopo soffrendo un cervello emorragia per un'operazione al suo collo.Il grande successo internazionale arrivo con "Il Paziente Inglese" ( 9 oscars compresi Migliore Film e Migliore Regista a 1996). Aveva 54 anni.
