TOMB OF RALAMBO KING OF IMERINA AMBANIANDRO IN AMBOHIDRABIBY
TOMB OF PRINCE ANDRIANTOMPOKOINDINDRA IN AMBOHIMALAZABE
Prince Andriantompokoindrindra invented the "Trano Manara" (lit. "The cold House") above his tomb and proclaimed:
"For that my grave and those of my descendants be not trampled or tarnished by the dogs."
My brother and I seen here with our GrandPa Professor Ralantoaritsimba,
our mother Monique born Ralantoaritsimba decided to be buried with her parents here.
THE STONE GATE IN AMBOHIMALAZABE
To avoid intruders every sacred hills (where kings and queens are buried) has its own enormous circular rock and is surrounded by ditch. The stone gate of 12 tons with a diameter of 4.5m were pushed at least by 40 men every night to secure the royal family.
Dedicated to my father Honore N. Razafindramiandra who suddenly passed away at the age of 57 in Tamatave on April 29, 1996.
The wake lasted a week to allow 3,000 people around the country to pay their last respect to the man who led them to freedom - March on Iavoloha on May 11, 1991 - and to accompany him in his last abode the sacred hill of Ambohidrabiby on May 6, 1996. The Cabinet declared:"Honore Nirinarisoa Razafindramiandra, Secretary of Culture and Communication of the Republic of Madagascar was poisoned during his mission in Tamatave his death is not due to kidney failure as reported by journalists." So this is for you Razafindramiandra (as I used to call him) a book recounting your achievement along side our ancestors' history.

in Ambohibaoladina not far from Ambohimalaza.

Dr.RAZAFINDRAMIANDRA Joseph and RAZANABELO Germaine gave birth to RAZAFINDRAMIANDRA Honore Nirinarisoa (1939 - 1996) in Ampitatafika.
CHAPTER II - ROYAL UNION

Prince Andriamamilazabe of this union a son ANDRIANTOMPOKOINDRINDRA and a daughter
RAVAOMASINA

RAZAFINDRAMIANDRA Honore N. from Ambohidrabiby married RALANTOARITSIMBA Monique from Ambohimalaza daughter of Professor Ralantoaritsimba Zoudher the first malagasy surgeon to carry out
an open heart operation of this union a son NARISETRA and a daughter HARILANTO.

CHAPTER III - END OF THE REIGN
"Remember that a government big enough to give you everything you want is also
big enough to take everything you have." Barry Goldwater
The education I received is to follow the ancient rules and by respect of these rules I waited twelve years after the death of my father before publishing this book as the number twelve is a sacred number among malagasy people, it represents the twelve kings and the twelve sacred hills of the Merina Royalty.

The comparative story of King Ralambo and my late father throughout the book is to teach and to inform on a single stroke the readers about their life, death and legacy. Very few references to these two high-profile personages exist though they brought a tremendous changes in their country. For instance, Ralambo was the first King to establish the hierarchy of the Noble ones, institute the Zebu (Jamoka) as for Razafindramiandra he was one of the principal craftsmen of September 17, 1995 referendum victory just to name a few of their accomplishments here more are exposed in the book.

For foreign readers it may be difficult to read and remember the names cited in this book but the long names of Kings & Queens as well as those of my parents cannot possibly be replaced or shortened as they all have their own meanings. Patience is the key if you want to gain some knowledge and imagine how amazed will be a fellow malagasy to hear you master these names.

A woman is said to be the backbone of a man, this book is also dedicated to my late mother who gave her respect, support, strength and dignity during hard times as during Razafindramiandra's death she prevented the national radio and television to broadcast the announcement while I was on the road back
to the capital Antananarivo from Tamatave.

To my daughter Kirsten Faniry, this book is written especially for you to elucidate all your questions about GranPa and GranMa as well as our origin. Within few years, you will be able to understand the real meaning of all this and thank you to allow mummy staying up late in order to accomplish this book.

And finally to my brother Narisetra who was born the same date, month, hour but not the same year as me, thank you for sending via e-mails the necessary infos and pics from our family albums. I know that within a couple of years, you will become a great figure in our country.

I am going to conclude this introduction with Razafindramiandra's motto: "Live Free, Die Well."
