The program of the Mahaleo were very loaded during their current stay in New York. Dama, Dadah, Bekoto, Raoul, Nono, Fafa and Charle accompanied by their managers Mr.Jaobarison and Eric Rajaona were welcomed by Serge Rajerison Manager and Producer of Marovavy Production to Newark Airport May 15, 2008 for their second edition in New York as well for the closure of their 35th stage anniversary. May 16, the Mahaleo went to the Mission and General Consulate of Madagascar for a courtesy visit followed by a work meeting regarding a development project to Madagascar. Next they were welcomed by Mr and Mrs Zina Andrianarivelo-Razafy Ambassador Permanent Representative of Madagascar Mission to the United Nations for a welcoming reception in the new residence of Madagascar located at Fort Lee in New Jersey. May 17, the members of Malagasy diaspora coming from the four corners of the United States (Texas, California, Massachusetts, Washington DC, Ohio, New Jersey, Tennessee) attended a concert out of the ordinary animated by Jean Claude Rakotoniaina and unfolded at the 5th Avenue Presbyterian Jones Auditorium. A supported vibrant testimony of Mialy Rabe of North Carolina on positive influences that the Mahaleo brought during these 35 years on stage to all bed social and especially their contribution to the changes, to the events of daily life of the Malagasy ones living just as well in the country as abroad her tributed to the Mahaleo on stage. The concert was followed by an encounter dinner with the artists and his public to the Restaurant I Tre Merli in the middle of the heart of SOHO. This was a unique and memorable occasion for Mahaleo's fan to discuss with these big artists. This initiative was attributed to Marovavy Production of Serge Rajerison. May 18, Malagasy Diaspora organised a fundraising picnic in Elizabeth - New Jersey in order to allow the young sportsmen of New York and its vicinity to collect the necessary
